Working in Framingham

Your local electricians for Framingham.

Framingham became a city in 2018 but still feels like a collection of neighborhoods: Saxonville, Nobscot, Pinefield, Framingham Center and the downtown around the commuter rail station, with Route 9 cutting through as one of the region’s busiest retail corridors.

We work for Framingham homeowners and landlords on upgrades and repairs, and for businesses along Route 9 on lighting and circuits.

“Great service and super responsive. Ryan Gath Electric delivered amazing work and was on time as quoted. 10/10 service and results. I highly recommend them!”

Homes & buildings in Framingham

Postwar neighborhoods and a busy downtown.

Much of Framingham’s housing went up in the decades after World War II: capes, ranches and split-levels, many still on original or early replacement panels. Adding heat pumps, EV chargers or a finished basement often means a panel or service upgrade.

Downtown’s older multi-family buildings need a different kind of attention: rewiring, detector updates and panels labeled clearly for each unit.

Framingham is large enough that its neighborhoods feel like different towns. North Framingham’s Nobscot and Saxonville areas are mostly single-family homes on quieter streets, while the areas around downtown and the Route 9 corridor mix multi-family housing with retail and offices. The electrical priorities shift accordingly, from capacity upgrades in the suburbs to safety updates and landlord work closer to the center.

Before you start

Planning a project in Framingham.

Postwar capes and ranches often need a panel upgrade before a heat pump or EV charger. If you’re planning both, do the panel first and size it for everything on your list.

For downtown multi-family buildings, we update detectors, GFCI protection and panels unit by unit, ideally at turnover.

Framingham FAQ

Electrical questions from Framingham

Do you serve all of Framingham?

Yes, from Saxonville and Nobscot to downtown and the Route 9 corridor.

Can my ranch’s panel handle a heat pump?

A load calculation tells us. If not, we’ll explain upgrade and load-management options.

Do you work on commercial spaces on Route 9?

Yes, including lighting, fit-outs and equipment circuits.

Should I upgrade my Framingham panel before a heat pump?

If the load calculation shows it’s needed, yes. Doing the panel first means the heat pump installation isn’t delayed.

Do you install EV chargers in Framingham?

Yes. We check your panel and service first, then install a dedicated circuit and a hardwired charger or 240-volt outlet in the garage or driveway, with a permit and inspection.
